Carole Crawford (Moore,1953) who passed away on 20 May 2026, was a cherished Old Lauristonian whose warmth, kindness and gentle spirit enriched the lives of those around her.

During her time at Lauriston, Carole was Captain of the Tennis Team and Captain of Mitchell House. She remained closely connected to the School throughout her life, attending many Old Lauristonian events. Beyond Lauriston, she found great joy in tennis, gardening and sharing her love of books through her book clubs.

Carole was the beloved wife of Ian (dec.), devoted mother of James and Penny, mother-in-law to Andrea, and adored Gran to Oliver and Millie. Her family was the centre of her world, and she took immense pride in their lives and achievements.

She will be remembered with great affection for her generosity, grace, and devotion to her family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
